Association for Women in Science Announces New Partnership Agreement with Endictus Corporation
WASHINGTON DC, August 11, 2022 – The Association for Women in Science (AWIS) is pleased to announce a new corporate partnership with Endictus Corp. (ENDICTUS®), a minority- and woman-owned small business that provides cybersecurity engineering, information technology support, and consulting services to program offices within the federal government.
Founded in 2017 by Nicole Marie Ortiz, Endictus specializes in the fields of cybersecurity, software development and information security. Ortiz is now Endictus President and CEO. She chose to partner with AWIS to increase visibility of her organization, find diverse talent, and empower other women in STEM.
Ortiz shared, “It can be difficult to maintain corporate diversity and meet other women in STEM. I chose to partner with AWIS to increase connections and collaboration opportunities for our company, but I also want to support the work AWIS is doing to help women and organizations like mine to succeed.”
The partnership agreement also includes the ability for Endictus employees to receive access to AWIS member benefits including:
- Weekly newsletters and the quarterly AWIS Magazine
- Live webinars and a library of recorded events
- Recognition in AWIS marketing vehicles
- Volunteer and professional development opportunities
- Networking via the membership directory and local chapter events
“AWIS supports women in science from all fields and sectors. We partner with organizations in academia and industry and are pleased to partner with a trailblazing organization supporting the government sector like Endictus,” said Meredith Gibson, AWIS CEO.
